Water Flossers
Before starting orthodontic treatment, your teeth and gums must be in good health! A large part of this is brushing and flossing, but for extra help, we recommend you invest in a water flosser! Water flossers use streams of water to clean the teeth and gums. For orthodontic patients, these machines can help keep the hard-to-reach places of braces clean and remove residue from the mouth that could stain your aligners. They ensure the mouth is fresh and clean for a beautiful smile before, during, and after treatment.
Nice Toothbrushes
Water flossers are not replacements for brushing your teeth! You still need to brush and floss your teeth to eliminate bacteria, plaque, and germs that cause tooth decay, gum disease, bad breath, and other issues. Right now, though, we’re not going to focus on types of floss. We want to talk about toothbrushes!
A nice toothbrush might seem frivolous on paper, but it can make a massive difference to your oral hygiene routine! Both under- and overbrushing can lead to a receding gumline and weakened enamel, which leaves your teeth vulnerable to threats!
