Clear Aligners
Your clear aligner options include big brands like Invisalign® and our own affordable 3D-printed option.
Clear aligners are comfortable, removable, and don’t rely on a system of brackets and wires to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you’re wearing your aligners because they’re invisible!
LightForce Braces
LightForce custom braces represent the pinnacle of orthodontic innovation. These are 3D-printed, ensuring a perfect fit tailored to individual tooth morphology.
Metal Braces
Damon metal braces are smaller and more comfortable than ever before and made with high-grade space-age metal alloys.
Not Your Daddy’s Braces
Thanks to today’s advances in orthodontic technology, Icon Orthodontics can provide you with more options when it comes to wearing braces than ever before.
While we still widely use traditional metal braces at Icon Orthodontics, clear braces are very popular with teens and adults who are self-conscious about wearing braces, along with Invisalign removable aligners, the “braceless” alternative to straight teeth.
Dr. Andrew Sarpotdar and Dr. Jenny Sun will help you determine which treatment option is right for you.
Protect Your Investment
Guarantee My Smile
Guarantee My Smile is a supplemental service offered by Icon Orthodontics to give you peace of mind by protecting your orthodontic investment. Guarantee My Smile gives you a 5-year warranty on your smile that includes two key protections:
Retainer Replacement*
If, for any reason, within five years of braces removal, the covered patient requires new retainers, Icon Orthodontics will provide up to one set of retainers per quarter at a copay of $40/set (compared to the normal price of $460/set), NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
*By enrolling, the patient will receive a 3D-printed model of the final tooth position at the time of initial retainer delivery. When it is time to claim your new set of retainers, please bring in the 3D printed model and we will do the rest! If the patient’s teeth have shifted from their final position, new retainers may not fit. In order to prevent this, please contact us as soon as retainers are lost or broken.
Re-treatment With Braces**
If, for any reason, within five years of braces removal, the covered patient wishes to undergo additional treatment, braces will be put on for a low monthly payment of $189/month until the patient is happy, or our doctor determines that treatment is complete.
**Braces refers to “traditional braces” and does not include premium options such as Damon, Damon Clear, Clear Aligners, or lingual braces. These options are available at additional charge. Patient must be healthy enough to undergo treatment as determined by doctor. Patient must be up to date on dental checkups and be free from cavities and other conditions that preclude orthodontic treatment.
Airway Treatment
Your smile and your airway work together. When your jaws and teeth don’t develop properly, it can affect how you breathe, particularly during sleep.
How Orthodontics Can Help
Dr. Sarptodar and Dr. Sun can guide the development of your child’s jaw and ensure that there is enough space to reduce airway restriction and support healthy, natural breathing patterns.
This is particularly effective in the case of early treatment, or orthodontic care for kids at around seven to 13 years of age. Early care helps us influence the development of the airway and prevent more complicated issues later on.
Some Tools We Use
In some cases, we’ll use specialized tools like TADs and MARPEs to open the airway and support healthy breathing patterns. This helps us address the structure of the jaw. By focusing on the root cause, airway treatment can lead to better sleep, improved energy, and long-term health benefits.
TADs for Precise Care
Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) give us a new level of control in orthodontic treatment, allowing for precise, targeted movement to fine-tune your care.
How They Work
TADs are small, temporary anchors we’ll temporarily place in the jawbone to support tooth movement. They act as fixed points that help us to move specific teeth without affecting others.
Since they stay in place during treatment, TADS help us achieve movements that might be diffucult or even impossible with just braces.
How They Help
More and better control means we can often shorten treatment time and avoid more invasive procedures. TADs also help us to predict the course of treatment more effectively, so your care is more efficient and simpler than ever.
We’ll often use them in more complex cases, including bite correction and airway-focused treatment, where precision matters most.
MARPE for Expansion
If you or your teen needs the benefits of palatal expansion, or widening the upper jaw, we’ll sometimes use miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) to assist with your care.
How It Works
In younger patients, we can use rapid palatal expanders to widen the bones of the upper jaw as they develop. But in older teens and adults, since the palate has already or nearly fused, we can use small implants to anchor an expander to the palate and achieve many of the same results.
Breathe & Bite Better
By expanding the upper jaw, MARPE can improve how your teeth fit together and increase space in the airway. This can support easier breathing and more long-term stability for your bite.
Laser Gingivectomy for Smile Refinement
A balanced smile is about more than just your teeth. Your gums play a big role in the final result.
What Gingivectomy Does
A laser gingivectomy can gently reshape your gumline by removing excess tissue. This helps Dr. Sarpotdar and Dr. Sun to create a more even, proportional look across your smile.
The procedure is precise and controlled, allowing us to refine the way your teeth are framed.
A Faster, More Comfortable Approach
Using laser technology means less discomfort, little to no bleeding, and faster healing compared to traditional methods. Most patients return to normal activities quickly.
This treatment is often the final step in orthodontic care, helping you get the most out of your new smile with a clean, polished finish.
